제 54회 베니스 비엔날레 국제미술전

한국문화예술위원회는 2011년 6월4일부터 11월 27일까지 열리는 제 54회 베니스 비엔날레 국제미술전의 한국관에 ‘사랑은 갔고 상처는 아물겠지요’ 전시를 이용백작가 개인전으로 준비한다. 이번 전시는 한국현대사의 성장과정과 아픔, 그리고 미래에 대한 희망을 비디오, 조각, 페인팅의 다양한 형식아래 표현한 5작품을 선보일 예정이다. 이는 서구 문물의 유입, 식민화, 해방, 분단, 초고속 경제적 성장과 그 후유증, 그리고 현재 한국이 원하는 성숙한 희망이라는 역사적 과거, 현재, 미래가 포괄되어 있다. 커미셔너 윤재갑이 본 전시를 큐레이팅한다.

“Arts Council Korea” ha il piacere di annunciare “L’Amore è finito, ma la Cicatrice guarirà” una mostra personale delle opere di Lee Yongbaek che si terrà al padiglione della Corea della Biennale di Venezia dal 4 Giugno al 27 Novembre 2011. L’esposizione presenterà cinque opere sotto forma di video, scultura e pittura che rivelano il dolore nella storia della politica moderna della Corea e le sue speranze per il futuro. Essa connota il passato, il presente e il futuro della Corea passando attraverso l’afflusso della civiltà Occidentale, la colonizzazione e la liberazione, la divisione del Paese, il velocissimo sviluppo economico e i suoi postumi e infine la maturità che ora i Coreani vogliono mantenere. L’esposizione è curata dal commissario Yun, Cheagab.

Arts Council Korea is pleased to announce “The Love is gone but the Scar will heal,” a solo presentation of works by Lee Yongbaek at the Korean Pavilion of the 54th Venice Biennale from June 4 to November 27, 2011. The exhibition will feature five works in video, sculpture, and painting that reveals the pain in the history of Korea’s modern politics and culture, and its hope for the future. It connotes the past, present, and future of Korea passing through the inflow of Western civilization, colonization and liberation, division of the country, ultrahigh speed economic development and its aftereffects, and a maturity that the Koreans now want to hold. The exhibition is curated by commissioner Yun, Cheagab.
